Occasionally they go in to over drive and irritates your scalp in to producing dead skin at up to double the normal speed. Now the skin is renewed in two weeks instead of the normal duration of a month. When all these dead cells get mixed up with the oil produced on to your scalp from your hair follicles, this results in the creation of dandruff.
